Bus for Breath

Help Clean Up the Dirtiest Trucks in the State!

On December 12th, Breathe California is proud to be taking its fight against air pollution to Sacramento. There, the group will be urging the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to adopt a new rule that would dramatically improve air quality and public health across California through new regulations for the millions of diesel trucks driving on our state roads and highways.

The new regulation would ensure that trucks operating in California have the cleanest available engines and are equipped with life-saving particulate filters together which would reduce diesel particulates by 43% and nitrogen oxides (a key component of smog) by 23%. As a result, the rule would prevent 9,400 premature deaths, 150,000 asthma-related cases and 950,000 lost work days over a 10-year period!

And now, YOU can help us achieve this important victory for public health! Climb aboard our bio-diesel “BUS FOR BREATH” as we take a day-trip to the CARB hearing in Sacramento to express our support for the new truck rule. Whether you’re a seasoned advocate or just someone concerned about the air we breathe, we want you to help us convince CARB why we need greater air pollution protections. Your voice might just be a deciding factor!
