Bike for Breath 2015 is an organized 100km bike ride around the San Francisco Peninsula. The beneficiary of all funds raised by participants is Breathe California of the Bay Area:
The mission of this organization is very important. BreatheCA educates children about the dangers of smoking. They advocate for clean air in communities. They were among the first organizations in the United States to successfully push for regulations that protect the rights of non-smokers, including children, in public spaces. They provide services and support groups for patients suffering from all forms of lung disease, as well as patients' families. All donations received directly benefit BreatheCA and go towards these important causes. Please consider supporting this organization in their fight against the dangers of smoking and lung diseases such as asthma, emphysema, lung cancer, tuberculosis and COPD.
Below is a message form Breath California of the Bay Area.
Dear friends, family and coworkers,
I recently learned two important facts about lung disease:
1) Lung disease is the second leading and fastest rising cause of death, and
2) Lung disease and breathing problems are the leading cause of infant deaths in the U.S.
To help address this problem, I've decided to participate in Breathe California's Bike 4 Breath charity ride on Saturday, July 11th, 2015 at Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton.
I've set a personal fundraising goal and need your help and support to get there! 100% of every dollar I raise will help our local communities by supporting lung disease research, outreach and education, smoking cessation and clean air advocacy. Your support will make a difference to the lives of those who suffer from poor lung health.
You can make a secure online donation on this page. Alternatively, you can write a check (payable to Breathe California with my name written in the NOTES section) and mail it to:

Together we can reduce air pollution, tobacco use (especially among teens!), and deaths from lung diseases such as asthma, COPD and cancer.
Thank you for your support!
